The IMC syllabus has been developed in accordance with Air Operators and Pilots Association (AOPA) together with the Civil Aviation Authority who regulate flight training in the UK. The IMC course is unique to the UK and is not valid outside
UK airspace and although limiting in that respect has invaluable use in the UK due to the weather conditions prevalent especially during winter. IMC students should consider this course as safety training allowing the pilot to cope with IMC
conditions, which may arise unexpectedly. Further on as experience is gained use of the reduced landing and take off conditions together with navigation solely reliant on radio aids will increase the flying days available during the year.
